Description

The global GCAP meeting in Beirut was celebrated with about 175 representatives from all over the world.
Various evaluation work was commissioned of GCAP’s external impacts, websites, finances and a questionnaire survey about the future of GCAP was conducted.
The Beirut Declaration calls for "exerting pressure on governments to eradicate poverty, dramatically reduce inequality and achieve the Millennium Development Goals."
Since this assembly of Beirut joined the issue of inequality that hits heavily to Latin America.
The global meeting decided that GCAP should continue until the end of December 2007, at which point it would be reviewed again.
