The Austrian Platform represent their members vis-a-vis the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Council and other European stakeholders.
The Austrian Platform gathers information related to European development policy and promotes the dialogue between Austrian NGOs themselves and between Austrian NGOs and the Austrian government and its respective institutions dealing with development issues.
The aim of the Austrian Platform is to lobby for development policy decisions in favour of the eradication of poverty, the increase of democracy and the respect of human rights. Furthermore, the Austrian Platform introduces its positions into policy debates at the European level with the aim of finding common grounds and strategies.
Finally, the Austrian NGO Platform promotes access to financial means of the European Union for its members. |
